Show Time For Scotland A
It’s game day in the Borders as Scotland A prepare for their final fixture of the season against Italy A at Netherdale (kick-off 7.30pm, admission free). Nick Scrivener’s team are looking for their third straight success of the campaign, having already beaten USA Eagles and Ireland Wolfhounds. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the pitch was passed playable at a 4pm inspection. Unless there is a significant deterioration in the weather between this time and kick-off, the match will go ahead as planned. Scottish Rugby and Gala RFC are constantly monitoring the situation, and supporters are advised to keep checking here for any further updates. His place among the substitutes will now be taken by Edinburgh second row Craig Hamilton. Remember, as with all home Scotland A, under-20, club international, under-18, under-17 and Scotland Women games this season, admission to tonight’s match is free. A programme will be available, and supporters are encouraged to make a small donation if they pick one up. All monies collected will be donated to the Bill McLaren Foundation. A minute’s silence will be held before the game, in memory of Scottish Rugby’s former secretary Bill Hogg, who sadly passed away earlier this week.
