    Getting to BT Murrayfield

BT Murrayfield is located to the west of Edinburgh and is well served by public transport and is only a 45-minute walk from the city centre and only a 20-minute walk from Haymarket train station.

Plan your journey and know your travel options by checking your travel providers website for all of the latest information ahead of your day. Check with your travel provider for any changes to services as well as details of the last service of the evening.

Please note that due to the Hearts v Aberdeen match (20 May, KO 12.30) and the Hearts v Hibernian match (27 May, KO 12.30) at Tynecastle stadium, there will be a large volume of football supporters in the area. We recommend that your arrival is no earlier than stipulated below to ensure that your travel is not impacted and so that congestion on the roads is kept to a minimum.

    By Train

Customers are encouraged to buy their ticket in advance at staffed stations, on the ScotRail website, or via the mTicket system on the ScotRail app.

Buying tickets through the mTickets system means people can buy their tickets from the comfort of their home or on the way to the station and it will instantly become available on their mobile device.

ScotRail has confirmed that Haymarket station is now available for travel to and from the concert. The train operator has previously advised ticket holders to avoid travelling to and from the station due to queuing capacity being reduced by more than half as a result of the ongoing redevelopment of a building next to the station. Please note that the walk to BT Murrayfield from Haymarket Station is only 20 minutes.

Ticket holders are encouraged to head back to the station as quickly as possible after the concert ends and join the appropriate queue. Customers should be aware that Haymarket station will be much busier than normal on 20 and 27 May due to football matches at Tynecastle in the afternoon.

NOTE: Due to engineering works taking place on the railway at Carstairs, LNER will be running buses between Edinburgh and Motherwell. Supporters from Glasgow should use Scotrail services to and from Queen Street. For those wanting to travel between Haymarket and Motherwell please travel to Waverley and use the connecting bus.
