Scotland have made a change in their squad for tomorrows Bank of Scotland Corporate August Test against Ireland at Murrayfield. Substitute Hugo Southwell has been ruled out after suffering cramping in his right hamstring during this afternoon’s captain’s run and has been replaced by Nikki Walker. His place on the bench will now be taken by Nikki Walker (The Ospreys) who will wear No 22.   Nikki Walker (The Ospreys) Wing. Born 5.3.82 in Aberdeen. 6ft 4ins, 15st. Nikki Walker returned to international action this year after a three year gap, reward for some stirring displays for his club in the Magners League. He scored his first try for Scotland in the 21-6 triumph over South Africa in November 2002 and had to wait some four-and-a-half years before adding number two – against France in Paris in March 2007. He made his debut against Romania in 2002, reward for running in 11 tries for The Borders up to that point of that season. He played for Scotland under-21 in their games against their Irish and French counterparts in 2003 before winning his first A cap against the Italians in Perth in March that year. He was among Scotland’s try scorers in their 38-8 win against Canada East in the opening match of their 2002 North American tour. Walker also played in the victories against Canada West and the USA A team. He scored the decisive try to enable his club, Hawick, to win the 2002 BT Cellnet Cup Final and complete the cup and league double. Walker, who attended Hawick High School, has represented Scottish Borders at under-16, under-18 and under-19 and Scotland at under-18, under-19 and under-21. Over the summer of 2003 Walker played in four of Scotland’s five games in the IRB under-21 World Cup and scored two tries in the Scots’ victory over their English counterparts.
