Scotland will begin their 2022 Guinness Six Nations campaign with an enticing Calcutta Cup fixture against England at BT Murrayfield on Saturday 5 February.
The Scots famously won 11-6 at Twickenham for the first time since 1983 in the 2021 championship and welcome their oldest rivals to Edinburgh for next year’s blockbuster opening.
Scotland then travel to Cardiff for the second round of fixtures on Saturday 12 February, where they will bid to repeat their 2020 success, having defeated Wales 14-11 in Llanelli as part of the elongated championship – a result that meant a first away win over the Welsh in some 18 years.
The middle weekend of the 2022 Guinness Six Nations sees Scotland back at BT Murrayfield on Saturday 26 February, hosting a France team that they also defeated in March of this year, as Gregor Townsend’s charges enjoyed victory on French soil for the first time since Townsend himself starred in a 1999 Parisian triumph.
On Saturday 12 March, Scotland will travel to Rome to face Italy in their penultimate 2022 championship match, having recorded a record 52-10 win over those opponents during this year’s fixture at BT Murrayfield.
The 2022 Guinness Six Nations concludes with a trip to Dublin to face Ireland on Saturday 19 March for Super Saturday, with Scotland seeking a first win in Ireland since 2010.
