Scottish Rugby has rolled-out innovative new analysis software designed to connect and enhance the standards of all levels of the sport in Scotland. In partnership with consultancy, AnalysisPro, the governing body has invested in a new online analysis platform, MyTPE & MyTPA – a system used by used by Leicester City FC, the Welsh FA, Dutch FA, PSV and Feyenoord, as well as the England, New Zealand and Dutch Hockey federations – in support of a wide-reaching analysis strategy that currently sees a cameraperson sent out to every BT Premiership match. The footage is then broken down statistically and uploaded to the new platform to allow coach and player-access to the whole game, broken down by Scottish Rugby analysts. The information exchange will also be rolled out to the BT National League Division 1, BT Women’s Premier League, BT Sport Academies, all International age-grades and the governing body’s refereeing department, and will host all content for users to syphon and review to aid a shared desire for technical improvement.Rob Holdsworth, Lead Performance Analyst at Scottish Rugby and the national team [pictured], is leading the project. He said: Every player and coach involved with any of these teams will be able to access their game footage on this new platform, do their own analysis, build reviews of their own game and preview their opposition. With self-analysis being so readily available it will help encourage players to be more self-reliant, proactive and accountable for their own development. It will also provide a central location for all pro-team and international coaches to view the top performers in the country across all positions and levels of the game in Scotland at the touch of a button.”AnalysisPro: www.analysispro.comMyTPE & MyTPA: www.my-tp.com
