Scotland v Australia

Sunday 24 November, kick-off 1.40pm, Scottish Gas Murrayfield

Always entertaining, this is one of the most popular fixtures at Scottish Gas Murrayfield and more often than not provides spectacular viewing!

Be it Scotland’s incredible 53-24 try-fest victory in 2017 or the last time the Wallabies were here, in 2022 when the Scots were going for three home wins on the bounce against the visitors only to lose agonisingly by a single point, the Hopetoun Cup always delivers on entertainment!

Twice Rugby World Cup winners, Australia are ranked at their lowest-ever ninth in the current global standings, a position that belies the talent they have to tap into.  A team in transition, Australia have a new Kiwi head coach Joe Schmidt tasked with reviving the fortunes of a proud rugby nation that will be hosting the British & Irish Lions next summer and the Rugby World Cup in little over three years’ time.

Of their previous six meetings, three games have been won by a margin of a single point (2015, 2016 and 2022). What a way to end the series!
