SCRUMS

The Scottish Rugby Management System, known as SCRUMS, was launched in 2018 to record all player, club official, club volunteer and staff registrations. The system was then expanded to include coaches, match officials and more recently parent / guardians.

18+ Player Registration

All active players 18+ at a rugby club, school, college or university must be registered in SCRUMS.

U18 Player Registration

Scottish Rugby encourages the registration of Micro Rugby players, players aged 5 to 7 years old, by a parent or guardian.

Mini Rugby players, players aged 8 to 12 years old should be registered from the age of 8 by a parent or guardian, as this is when they begin playing ‘Mini’ Rugby and when contact is introduced.

Youth Rugby players, players aged 13 to 17 years old must be registered on SCRUMS.

  • Youth players under the age of 14 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
  • From the age of 14 to 17, Youth players can be registered by a parent or guardian, or they can register themselves on SCRUMS. (PLEASE NOTE All youth players 14-17 who register themselves on SCRUMS are asked to provide a parent / guardian contact email address.)

 

Non-Player Registration: Coach, Match Official & Club Official / Volunteer

All active coach, match officials and club official / volunteer at a rugby club, school, college or university should be registered in SCRUMS.

All users can access SCRUMS to manage their own contact data and link with their clubs and schools making SCRUMS an important source of contact information supporting greater connections.

SCRUMS is also used to manage Scottish Rugby Competitions and Training & Education courses on offer throughout the year.

Having a SCRUMS account also provides access to Gainline, Scottish Rugby’s online learning platform.

How to Register in SCRUMS – Clubs & Schools

Any Clubs or Schools who do not yet have SCRUMS access should email [email protected], with the name and email address of their nominated SCRUMS Liaison, (e.g., the Club Secretary, Data Manager or Teacher in charge of Rugby).

How to Register in SCRUMS – Individual Users

Individual Users, this includes Players Coaches, Match Officials and Club Officials / Volunteers, who do not yet have SCRUMS access. Please register your own account from the SCRUMS portal and complete the registration process.

  • Users can register themselves on SCRUMS from the age of 14.
  • From the age of 14 to 17, Youth players can be registered by a parent or guardian, or they can register themselves on SCRUMS.

How to Register in SCRUMS – Parent / Guardians

Parent / Guardian Users, who are looking to register your child / dependant on SCRUMS must first create a parent / guardian account on SCRUMS. Please register your own account from the SCRUMS portal and complete the registration process.

Once registered, you can create Youth Player Profiles from the Family Link Tile on your SCRUMS main dashboard.

  • Youth players under the age of 14 must be registered by a parent or guardian.
  • From the age of 14 to 17, Youth players can be registered by a parent or guardian, or they can register themselves on SCRUMS.
