Billy Allen began playing the sport at Rainey Endowed School in Northern Ireland.
He has played in fixtures for Ulster U18, U19 and Development, and has also been involved with their sub-academy.
Allen played for Scotland U20 in a friendly against Wales U20 in December 2024, and was selected for the 2025 U20 Six Nations squad in January 2025.
