The Quilter Nations Series ends with a game against the entertaining and flamboyant South Sea Islanders. Scotland last faced Tonga at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, winning 45-17 in Nice, and Tonga’s last visit to Scottish Gas Murrayfield was in 2021. That year’s game was the first at the Home of Scottish Rugby for twenty years – although the teams had played in Aberdeen (2012) and Kilmarnock (2014) – and the crowd was treated to winger Kyle Steyn scoring four of Scotland’s ten tries.
In the recent Pacific Nations Cup Tonga finished 3rd after beating Canada in the 3rd Place play-off.
