Next up in the Crabbie’s Changing Room

19 Jun 2020

Over the last three months, Crabbie’s have been working with Scottish Rugby to bring you an exclusive chat with a former player each to talk about Scotland’s classic games. Previous guests have included Stuart Hogg, Tim Visser, Jon Welsh, Jason White and John Jeffrey.

Gregor Townsend will be joining us this week to talk about Scotland’s win over France from the 1999 Five Nations Championship. Check back on Friday afternoon to watch the full chat as he talks to former internationals Al Kellock and John Manson.

Townsend says the game against France in 1999 is his best memory playing for Scotland and in this week’s Crabbie’s Changing Room he talks about the build-up to the match and how he celebrated being crowned Five Nations champions the following day.

The game will be shown in full on Friday at 7pm BST on the Scottish Rugby YouTube channel and Facebook page.

Crabbie’s Gin are celebrating the partnership with a giveaway for online purchasers. With every purchase of a Scottish Rugby Gin they will be including two hi-ball glasses for free, pictured below. Shop online now at scottishrugbygins.com while stocks last.

More about the gins

Crabbie’s Gin launched two special Scottish Rugby gins earlier this year– both named after John Crabbie’s grandsons, who were former Scotland internationalists.

The Special Edition Scottish Rugby Gins are based on Crabbie’s 1837 award winning Gin discovered in John Crabbie’s authentic recipe book dating back over 180 years.

The ‘Jack Crabbie’ Gin infuses the 1837 recipe with raspberry and ginger, creating a vibrant, fruity pink gin with a delicate pink hue. Its teammate ‘George Crabbie’ is a citrus forward London dry gin that uses orange and lemon peel for a fresh zesty flavour.

Gins are available to purchase online at scottishrugbygins.com. The perfect drink to cheers the Scotland wins and as you tune into watch the latest guests in the Crabbie’s Changing Room.
