Scotland Women are raring to take on Wales tonight with a focus on putting in a solid performance at Broadwood Stadium. The Scots are looking to claim their first win of the 2017 Women’s Six Nations following a bonus-point loss to Ireland at home and a defeat to France in La Rochelle.Captain Lisa Martin said there were plenty of positives to take from the narrow defeat to Ireland, who clinched the win with a converted-try in the final play of the game. She said: “Ireland was a massive game, at half time the girls felt comfortable as we were going really well. It was heart-breaking to lose in the way we did but we learned a lot from that.”France turned up on the day and were the better team, which gave us plenty to reflect on.”The analysis after France was very honest. We can’t shy away from anything or make any excuses.”We looked at what we needed to improve individually, as units and as a team. Those are the things we have been working on leading up to tonight.”The squad regrouped at Oriam in Edinburgh this week to prepare for the challenge posed by Wales. Martin continued: “We are feeling really good going into Wales. Our first training session back in camp this week set the precedence of where we want to be tonight.”We just need to take the way we played against Ireland and parts of how we played against France and mould it into one performance.”The girls are really buzzing and looking forward to taking on Wales. We played them back in October in a close game but both teams have changed and moved on since then.”At the end of the day it’s us we need to be concerned about.”Following a crowd of 1,650 at the double-header against Ireland, Scotland Women and Scotland U20 are hoping for strong support from the stands at Broadwood. It’s massive for us to have a good crowd at Broadwood. It was great to have support through the entirety of the game against Ireland and it definitely got us through some of the tough moments. They really picked us up and kept us going.”Head Coach Shade Munro named one change to the starting XV, with Jemma Forsyth moving from the bench to replace injured flanker Karen Dunbar.
