Having heard representations on behalf of the discipline officer and Edinburgh Rugby Limited, the independent disciplinary panel decided that Edinburgh Rugby Limited had breached Regulation 9 of the IRB Regulations. The breach occurred when Edinburgh Rugby Limited inhibited, prevented or rendered unavailable 12 of its players for attendance at Scotland national squad training for at least the period from 2 July 2007 until 4 July 2007 inclusive.Having heard representations on behalf of the discipline officer and Edinburgh Rugby Limited, the independent disciplinary panel decided that Edinburgh Rugby Limited had breached Regulation 9 of the IRB Regulations. The breach occurred when Edinburgh Rugby Limited inhibited, prevented or rendered unavailable 12 of its players for attendance at Scotland national squad training for at least the period from 2 July 2007 until 4 July 2007 inclusive. Edinburgh Rugby Limited have undertaken to the panel that those players will be with the Scotland national squad from 13 July 2007 in preparation for the Rugby World Cup. The discipline panel decided that Edinburgh Rugby Limited be censured for their breach of Regulation 9. Edinburgh Rugby Limited agreed that they would in the future comply with IRB Regulation 9 Edinburgh Rugby withdraw membership resignation notice During the discipline panel hearing, Edinburgh Rugby Limited withdrew the resignation notice of their Associate Membership of the Scottish Rugby Union which they issued to the SRU on 6 July 2007. The Scottish Rugby Union accepted Edinburgh Rugby Limited’s request therefore Edinburgh Rugby Limited will continue to be Associate Members of the Scottish Rugby Union.
