The Guinness PRO14 will kick off the new campaign this weekend with dates and times confirmed for the first eight weeks of action and the introduction of Monday night rugby.

For Scottish teams, Round 1 starts on Saturday, October 3 with Connacht hosting Glasgow Warriors (live on TG4, eir Sport and Premier Sports) and Edinburgh facing off against Ospreys (live on Premier Sports) at home.

Fixtures

The Guinness PRO14 Conferences will remain the same as for the 2019-20 season in keeping with the two-year rotation of the tables. As alluded to earlier, discussions are under way with the South African Rugby Union to enter a team in place of the Southern Kings in 2021.

Edinburgh will play an even four home and four away fixtures in the opening eight rounds of action, while the capital side will take part in four consecutive Monday night match-ups in a new look PRO14 schedule.

Glasgow Warriors will also have four home and four away, starting with a trip to The Sportsground to face Connacht at 5.15pm and will have three Monday night fixtures in those opening rounds.

Supporting club and country

Monday night fixtures will take place between Rounds 3 and 8 with scheduling aimed at preventing direct clashes with the extended international calendar, allowing fans to put their full support behind club and country.

With the finale of the Guinness Six Nations and the Autumn Nations Cup taking place from October through to early December, the majority of Guinness PRO14 fixtures during this time will take place on Sundays and Mondays. Where possible, Monday night fixtures have been set across two time slots of 18:00 and 20:15 (both UK/IRE).

How to watch

All matches will be shown live on Premier Sports, with the remainder of the competition’s fixtures to be confirmed in due course.

Glasgow Warriors and Edinburgh Rugby are offering members of the ‘Warrior Nation’ and ‘Castle Club’ offers and discounts for supporting the clubs this season. Find out about each of the memberships and the available benefits:
