That’s all from us! See you next week

That’s all from us at the Estadio Nacional in Santiago. Thank you for following along, we now look forward to the fourth and final test on the Skyscanner Americas Tour, which sees Scotland head to Uruguay.

Eight tries, including firsts for Rowe and Currie, were some of the many highlights for the visitors.

FT

Scotland run out 41-point winners in Chile

FT

Full time at Estadio Nacional

The restart is again well defended by Chile, who force Scotland into knocking the ball on, but play carries on.

It’s getting messy now, as Chile cling onto the ball, wanting one final try. The ball is dropped again by both sides, and the game comes to a conclusion.

The final score is 52-11 to Scotland in Santiago.

75'

Seventh heaven for Scotland!

They’re over again! But is it a double move? Another great cross-kick gives Steyn a one-on-one, which he dances past.

Getting stopped right before the line allows quick ball to Dylan Richardson, who pushes hard and just about gets the ball onto the line for a seventh Scottish try. 45-11.

The conversion is missed by Hastings on this occasion. 45-11.

80'

A final flourish from Scotland

An eighth of the day for Scotland as Hastings flings the ball to Steyn, breaks the first and second tackle and dots down under the posts, taking the total to 50 now.

Hastings pops over the extras to bring the lead to 41 now. 52-11.

78'

Action at both ends

Chile just about got a rumble on there from the restart, but the ball is lost on Scotland’s 10m line.

As time ticks down, the ball is flung across to Rowe who again breaks the Chilean first line of defence. Again the ball is kicked to switch play but it’s turned over and the Chilean winger is bullied into touch.

72'

A final change for Scotland

Rory Darge is on for Jamie Ritchie, the final change of the bench for Scotland this afternoon.

68'

Nearly a beauty! Rowe almost bags a hat trick

That was nearly the best try of the day! A perfectly weighted chip bounces kindly for Rowe, who bursts past a defender and would have been in for a hat trick had it not been for desperate last ditch defending, bringing down the would-be try scorer 5m out from the line.

Rowe’s attempted offload is forward and Chile will have a scrum on their 5m line. Chile’s defence is immense and commendable.

66'

Rowe bags a brace!

The penalties are really stacking up for Chile now. It’s becoming a theme where a penalty in the midfield is given, and Scotland boot it towards the corner.

This time though, the lineout is won and it’s spun wide for an easy second try of the day for Kyle Rowe! 38-11.

Hastings adds the extras from the sideline. 40-11.

63'

More Scottish subs enter the fray

Stafford McDowell is on for Tuipolotu and Max Williamson is on for Brown. Both of those leaving the field have been impressive today.

62'

Chile tiring, Scotland making the most of the gaps

It’s all happening now! As Chile begin to tire, the holes are opening up and super sub Patrick Harrison makes a break up the field.

A yellow card is handed out to a Chilean for repeat offences and Scotland again opt to kick to the corner.

The lineout is good and so is the drive. But the penalty goes the way of the hosts due to the leaders hanging on to the ball too long. They clear their lines easily.

58'

A first try for Matt Currie!

The build up made it all! It’s a first Scotland try for Matt Currie, who finishes off a brilliant move spanning the width of the team. It ends up in Currie’s hands, who makes a clean break and darts over from 30m out. 31-11.

The conversion is popped over by Hastings. 33-11.

56'

Scotland bring in the changes

The restart sees a number of changes off the bench for Scotland.

Adam Hastings is on for Healy who has had a great match as the playmaker. Matt Currie comes on for Gus Warr, Will Hurd is off for Pierre Schoemann and Nathan McBeth is off on for Javan Sebastian.

56'

The Jackal!

After the restart, we went down the right and kicked ahead, made the tackle and Dobie wins the jackal penalty. He takes it quickly but is wrapped up and the ball turned over for Chile’s own jackal.

They kick to clear their lines.

50'

Try for Chile!

After the restart, Chile power up the field and force Scotland to defend their own line with a rolling maul from a lineout.

Diego Escobar, the replacement hooker, crashes over off the back of the maul by the right hand corner flag and the deficit narrows. 26-11 to Scotland.

The conversion is missed from a tight angle. The score remains 26-11.

46'

Harrison makes his Scotland debut

Alex Craig has come off and Patrick Harrison comes on to the park for his Scotland debut.

45'

Dobie on the double!

The penalty leads to a lineout which is won and the play centred by Scotland. Again the ball is flung wide to Dobie, who sneaks in by the corner flag to double his try tally for the afternoon. 26-6.

The conversion is missed, for the first time, by Healy, leaving Scotland the leaders by 20 clear points.

44'

TMO review for high contact

After an extended period of settling into the second half, the referee is awaiting a TMO review after a potential head on head collision between Tuipolotu and Chilean counterpart Videla.

The check is over and it is given as a penalty only, no card. It should be noted that Tuipolotu sat Videla down during the contact, so potentially not a surprise there are no further punishments handed out.

HT

Scotland lead 21-6 at half time

41'

Second half is underway!

The second half gets underway from the boot of Healy, and it’s deep into opposition territory.

It’s caught and hoofed into touch on half way for a Scotland throw.

40'

Half time here in Santiago

The resulting scrum is fed and won by Chile, who quickly turn and boot the ball into touch, bringing the first half to a close.

Tries from Bayliss, Rowe and Dobie and conversions all from Healy don’t tell the story of how well Chile have defended throughout long periods of pressure.

One wonders how long the gallant defence can last into the second half, and if indeed the floodgates do open if that happens.

29'

Immediate reply!

A clever play and a questionable pass from Tuipolotu sees Kyle Rowe the benefactor of an easy try in the corner. It’s his first try in a Scotland shirt! 12-6.

And Healy adds the extras to push Scotland’s lead out to eight points. 14-6.

35'

Jamie Dobie try!

Another Scotland penalty sees the ball booted to the corner and the visitors set up another dangerous attack in the 22. After a number of phases in the centre, threatening to go either way, the ball is flung wide the other way to Jamie Dobie from Healy, who skips in in the corner to notch a try. 19-6.

Healy adds the extras from a difficult angle on the right-hand side touchline. 21-6.

39'

Chances galore for the Scots

Dylan Richardson, off the back of the lineout push, nearly goes all the way, but it held up by some desperate Chilean defence.

The goal line dropout is thrashed back towards the halfway line, and Scotland set up their running play with a few phases before throwing the big pass out to Dobie for another dart, but the ball is lost forward just inside the 22.

38'

More chances come Scotland’s way

Scrum time is proving a difficult spot for the hosts as another scrum penalty is given away to Scotland. Once again it’s pounded away inside the 22 to set up the so-far successful Scottish lineout.

32'

Pressure building on the hosts

A brilliant break straight from the restart from Brown sees the scrum cap pinned back and a 40m run down the centre before the offload goes to the hands of the visitors. Nonetheless, Scotland look to be turning the screw a little.

28'

Immediate reply…?

The restart is caught by Chile, but a penalty is given for illegal rucking. Healy again kicks to the corner and Chile are under the pump as they centre the play just metres out from the hosts’ line.

26'

Chile making Scotland work hard in the first half

Another settling phase after the restart, before Scotland give away their third penalty of the afternoon, right on halfway. Chile opt to kick to touch but it’s batted back by Scotland! Only to run out of play on the visitor’s 22.

The lineout is good from Chile and they dink one in behind the defensive line from the resulting maul, under penalty advantage from Scotland collapsing the maul.

They come back for the penalty, and from the 22, Salas knocks it over to make the score 7-6 to Scotland.

21'

Josh Bayliss crashes over for Scotland!

The scrum results in a fifth penalty against the hosts and another kick to the corner. You have to say, Scotland are nothing if not consistent.

A good push this time and the phases stack up as they get ever nearer to the line, until Josh Bayliss finally crashes over besides the posts. 5-3 to Scotland.

Ben Healy adds the extras with no hassle. 7-3.

17'

Massive pressure on the Chilean scrum half and they eventually get it clear.

After winning the lineout, the Scots opt to loft the ball deep into Chilean territory, but ultimately the ball is spilled in the air and a scrum is given to Scotland on the opposition 10m line.

19'

Penalties stacking up against Chile

Again a penalty in the midfield for Scotland. This time for hands on the floor. After a short break for the injured scrum half Lucas Berti, play resumes and again Healy kicks to the corner.

Once again though, the throw is not straight and the chance is wasted. A scrum given to Chile.

15'

Another chance, another kick, another scrum…

Chile are penalised off the restart and Healy again kicks to the corner. This time the throw is good and Scotland get a good push on.

Advantage for a side entry gives Scotland another chance and again they kick to the corner flag.

Another good throw and it’s brought down for Scotland to get within a metre of the line, but it’s deemed unplayable and a scrum given to Chile.

10'

Loose throw ends in a shot at goal for Chile

A Scottish lineout on halfway is wasted as the throw isn’t straight. The Chilean scrum holds firm and they make good metres into Scottish territory. Advantage is given for not rolling away and it is eventually called back for Chile.

Santiago Videla knocks it over for the home team. 3-0.

5'

Nice break, but nothing comes of it

A lovely break there from deep in Scotland’s half by Ben Healy, he’s finally pulled down about 10m out from Chile’s 22. The following phase though, is not held by vice captain Kyle Steyn and the ball is lost forward.

7'

Penalty to Scotland

Scrum penalty leads to Healy opting to kick for the corner. A great hit from Will Hurd sees the Scots win their first penalty.

The lineout and subsequent phase is well defended though, and a penalty is given to Chile after the ball was held onto too long in contact.

1'

Kick off!

Referee Mathieu Raynal, from France, gets us underway as Tomás Salas kicks off into Scottish territory. Brought down by Gregor Brown.

2'

Settling period, Scotland comes out trumps

After a settling period, Chile win the first lineout and string a few phases together in the middle of the pitch. But the maul was held up long enough for the referee to call it unplayable and gives Scotland a scrum 10m into their territory.

Great work from vice captain Sione Tuipolotu and Brown there.

20:03

Here we go!

The teams are out of the tunnel. Anthems have been sung passionately, and we’re about ready to go, after a slight delay.

As a reminder, this is the first time Scotland will play Chile in a full international test.

19:46

They have arrived!

Scotland arrived a short while ago at Estadio Nacional, and are out warming up ahead of kick off in about 15 minutes.
