An instant favourite with supporters, Pierre Schoeman has excelled since his 2021 debut in the Autumn Nations Series win over Tonga, becoming a fixture in the Scotland front row.
A former South Africa Schools and U20 player, Pierre Schoeman joined Edinburgh in the summer of 2018 from Super Rugby team Bulls and has gone on to make well over 50 appearances for the DAM Health Stadium side since.
Named as Edinburgh’s Player of the Year in 2019, ‘The Greatest’ Schoeman qualified on residency grounds earlier this year and made his Scotland debut against Tonga in 2021, scoring a try into the bargain. He featured in all three of Scotland’s Summer Tour 2022 Tests against Argentina, and indeed each international match since, displaying consistency of performance and no less physical endurance.
