Matt Fagerson

Versatile forward Matt Fagerson made his Scotland debut on the 2018 summer tour against USA, becoming the country’s youngest number 8 at 19 years, 335 days old.

The younger brother of tighthead prop Zander, the pair become the 22nd pair of siblings to represent Scotland in the same game in that USA test match.

Previously, Fagerson represented Scotland U20 in the 2017 World Rugby under-20s Championship in Georgia, helping the team finish fifth, having after making his Glasgow Warriors debut in the 2016/17 pre-season fixture vs Canada ‘A’, reached 100 appearances for the Scotstoun club in the season past as they became URC champions.  

Matt has also featured heavily for Scotland, passing 40 caps at Rugby World Cup 2023, and has three international tries.
