Former Scotland U20 captain Liam McConnell is selected for his first series, a little under a year since making his professional bow for hometown club Edinburgh Rugby.
A product of Stew Mel Lions and Boroughmuir, Liam’s age grade exploits include leading Scotland U20 to the World Rugby U20 Trophy in 2024.
He was also captain of the Emerging Scotland side that faced Italy U23 in December of the same year.
He is already familiar with the Scottish Gas Murrayfield turf, having scored a last-play try to win the U18 Boys Youth Cup final for Boroughmuir in 2022.
