Originally from Toronto, Canada - hooker Ewan Ashman is currently contracted to English Premiership side Sale Sharks.
Toronto-born Ewan Ashman is a prolific former U20 hooker, having burst onto the scene with no fewer than 7 tries during the 2019 World Rugby under-20 Championship, a total that earned him tournament top try scorer.
The 21-year-old was named as part of Scotland’s squad for this summer’s tour, which was cancelled on account of the coronavirus pandemic, and has made two appearances for club side Sale Sharks during the 2021/22 season to date, scoring a try in their narrow loss to Exeter Chiefs at the beginning of October.
Ashman earned his first cap for Scotland replacing George Turner against Australia in the 2021 Autumn Nations Series, and he scored his first try a little over 40 minutes into his test career.
