Fixtures confirmed for 2023 World Rugby U20 Trophy
World Rugby have confirmed the fixtures for the World Rugby U20 Trophy in Kenya, which returns for the first time since 2019.
This summer, Scotland U20 will travel to Nairobi, Kenya, to play in the World Rugby U20 Trophy. The tournament, along with the World Rugby U20 Championship (which takes place in South Africa), will return for the first time since 2019 after it was put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Scotland side will be hoping to regain their spot in the top competition when they take the trip to Kenya’s capital in July. To be promoted, they must win the tournament overall.
Kenny Murray, Scotland U20 Head Coach, will once again lead the young outfit and will name his 28-man squad in June.
Scotland U20 were drawn in Pool A where they will compete against under-20 teams from Uruguay, Canada/USA and Zimbabwe at Nyayo National Stadium. The outcome of these clashes will then determine their spot in the play-offs against their respective Pool B teams which include Spain, Samoa, Kenya and Hong Kong.
