MACRO at BT Murrayfield
Tickets are available from today for the launch of the Edinburgh International Festival that will be held at BT Murrayfield on Friday 5 August.
Musicians Aidan O’Rourke and members of the National Youth Choir of Scotland met today at BT Murrayfield, along with Edinburgh Rugby’s Nick Haining, Harri Morris and Michael Jones to celebrate the launch of the tickets going live.
The 2022 Edinburgh International Festival opens with MACRO, a spectacular free event at BT Murrayfield. Critically acclaimed circus and physical theatre company Gravity & Other Myths is joined by First Nations dance company Djuki Mala, the National Youth Choir of Scotland and Scottish musicians including Aidan O’Rourke, Brìghde Chaimbeul, Lauren MacColl and Kathleen MacInnes.
MACRO is presented as part of the UK / Australia Season 2021-22, a joint initiative of the British Council and Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, supported by the Australian Government, the British Council and the Government of South Australia through Arts South Australia.
15,000 free tickets for MACRO are available from today (Monday 27 June) at eif.co.uk.
