Magnificent Six Shine For Scotland 7S
Edinburgh stars Allister Hogg, John Houston, Roddy Grant, Jim Thompson, Andrew Turnbull and Greig Laidlaw all made significant contributions to help Scotland 7s progress through to the semi-final stages of the Emirates Airline London 7s at Twickenham at the weekend.Unfortunately Scotland 7s were unable to defeat hosts England in the last four, despite Houston crossing the whitewash, but the team still made history by progressing through to the semi-final.Thompson, Turnbull and Grant all scored tries as Scotland defeated Portugal 22-21 in the quarter final with Laidlaw scoring in the previous win against Fiji. Now they have the opportunity to showcase their skills and speed in EH12 for the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens this weekend (Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 May).Tickets for each day of the Emirates Airline Edinburgh Sevens Festival – priced at _15 for adults, _10 for students and senior citizens and _5 for under 18s are available to purchase by logging onto www.scottishrugbytickets.com, by calling the Ticket Hotline on 0131 346 5100 (open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday) or in person from the Murrayfield Ticket Centre (open 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday).
