The Nations Championship sees the world’s best teams from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres go head-to-head across two connected series: three rounds in July (replacing the old summer tours) and three rounds in November (replacing the old autumn tests).
The second of Scotland’s home games in November is against the Wallabies, hosts of the next Rugby World Cup in 2027. The last time they played at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, in November 2024, tries from captain Sione Tuipulotu (in front of his granny who’d been flown over from Australia especially for the game), Duhan van der Merwe and Finn Russell helped Scotland to a 27-13 win.

The Nations Championship So Far
The campaign kicked off in Córdoba with an explosive seven-try performance, securing a historic 47-38 win over Argentina as Pierre Schoeman and Scott Cummings celebrated their 50th international caps with tries, alongside a debut score from Gregor Hiddleston. Scotland then headed to Pretoria, delivering a brave four-try effort at high altitude against the world champion Springboks to collect a vital bonus point in a 42-28 defeat. The series concluded in Edinburgh as Fiji hosted their home Test at Scottish Gas Murrayfield; after falling behind in the first half, Scotland mounted a stunning second-half fightback, scoring 26 unanswered points to seal a 33-17 victory. With 11 points on the board, Scotland trailing Northern leaders France by a single point heading into the massive November series.
