National Schools Cup | Quarter-final Results
Last week teams competing across Scottish Rugby’s National Schools Cup competition vied it out for a semi-final spot. Here are the results and semi-final fixtures.
Boys U18 Cup
Hutchesons’ Grammar came up short against Strathallan School who progress to the next round with a 13-17 win.
Loretto School and the Edinburgh Academy drew 10-10, but the Edinburgh Academy progress to the semi-finals as the away team as determined by criteria in National Competition Rules.
In another tight content, Stewart’s Melville College book themselves a home semi-final after edging the win from Dollar Academy 15-12.
George Watson’s College fell short at home to Merchiston Castle School, 11-33.

Boys U16 Cup
Dollar Academy took a comprehensive win over the High School of Dundee, 7-39.
Marr College had the edge over Merchiston Castle School, winning 25-10.
Stewart’s Melville College managed to fend off George Watson’s College to progress to the next round with a 35-24 win.
Strathallan School and Fettes College were unable to play their quarter-final due to waterlogged pitches, and the match has been rescheduled for this week. The winner from this round will face Marr College.

Boys U18 Shield
The High School of Glasgow progress to the semi-finals after a 40-0 win over Glenalmond College.
Just three points separated North Berwick High School and Robert Gordon’s College, but Berwick progress to the next round (17-14).
Kelvinside Academy claimed the victory in quarterfinal four against Queen Victoria School, 7-12.
St Aloysius’ College defeated Fettes College 20-12.

Boys U16 Shield
George Heriot’s School defeated the Glasgow Academy 62-14.
Kelvinside Academy were unable to score against the Edinburgh Academy (0-29).
Howe of Fife/Bell Baxter High School enjoyed a home victory over Robert Gordon’s College, 36-7.
North Berwick High School progress to the semi-finals after defeating the High School of Glasgow 42-19.

George Heriot’s booked their spot in the semi-final with a 15-22 win over the Glasgow Academy.
By the narrowest of margins, Marr College progress to the semi-final after overcoming competition from Linlithgow Academy, 14-13.
Strathendrick/Balfron High School were defeated by the High School of Dundee 17-30.
St Columba’s (Kilmacolm) move onto the semi-finals after their 14-38 win over Trinity Academy.

Glenalmond College have booked the first spot of the semi-finals with a 12-5 win over Queen Victoria School.
St Columba’s (Kilmacolm) also progress to the next round after defeating Lomond & Helensburgh 52-0.
Quarter-finals between Loretto School and Ross High, and Hutcheson’s Grammar and Linlithgow Academy have been rescheduled due to waterlogged pitches.

Lomond & Helensburgh progress to the semi-finals after defeating Dalkeith 7-50.
In a tightly contested competition between Lasswade High School and Morrison’s Academy, it was the visitors who claimed the victory, 20-26.
Preston Lodge High School proved to be the stronger side against Lenzie, securing a semi-final spot 45-0.
Knox/Haddington have progressed to the semi-final after their opposition, Howe of Fife/Bell Baxter High School were unable to field a front row.

Knox/Haddington scooped a home semi-final after defeating Dalkeith 19-14.
Sitting two points ahead at the final whistle, St Leonards Madras Blues progress to the semi-finals after a win over Lasswade High School, 12-26.
Berwick’s 12-26 defeat over Lenzie Academy has booked their semi-final spot.
Morrison’s Academy’s win over Trinity Academy sees them into the semi-final stage of the competition (0-50).
