The journey through the championship
Scotland begins its campaign in Cardiff on Saturday 11 April at the Principality Stadium. Facing Wales at 4:40pm, the squad will look to replicate the grit shown in recent narrow victories over their Celtic rivals.
The focus then shifts to one of the most significant dates in the history of Scottish women’s sport. On Saturday 18 April at 1:30pm, Scotland hosts England in the main bowl of Scottish Gas Murrayfield. Having already broken the record for the largest standalone women’s sporting event in the nation’s history, the team will be boosted by a strong home support against the world’s top-ranked side.
A trip to Parma follows on Saturday 25 April, where Scotland faces Italy at the Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi at 4:30pm. This fixture has traditionally been a tactical affair, and maintaining composure away from home will be vital before heading into the tournament’s fallow week.
The Thisltes conclude their home campaign on Saturday 9 May as Scotland welcomes France to Hive Stadium at 4:15pm. Known for producing high-scoring and entertaining rugby, this clash will be a major test of Scotland’s defensive resolve and attacking ambition against one of the tournament’s perennial heavyweights.
The championship reaches a historic climax on Sunday 17 May in Dublin. For the first time, Ireland will host a standalone Guinness Women’s Six Nations fixture at the Aviva Stadium, kicking off at 2:30pm. On Super Sunday, this match offers a chance to finish on a high in a world-class venue, potentially deciding the final standings in what promises to be an intensely competitive season.
