Edinburgh edge Zebre Parma in 31–30 contest at Hive Stadium

Edinburgh secured a 31–30 victory over Zebre Parma at Hive Stadium, with a late converted try from Boan Venter deciding a closely contested match. Both sides exchanged the lead multiple times, with Edinburgh scoring five tries to claim the result.

Edinburgh opened the scoring within the first five minutes following a Zebre breakdown error. Ross Thompson kicked to the corner, and from the resulting lineout, Hector Patterson assisted Connor Boyle for the try. Thompson converted.

Zebre responded shortly after. Two Edinburgh penalties provided field position, and Alessandro Fusco scored from close range. Giovanni Montemauri added the conversion.

Zebre took the lead soon after. A further penalty allowed entry into Edinburgh’s 22, and Simone Gesi finished in the corner following a wide pass. The conversion was missed.

Edinburgh regained the lead through a chip kick from Mosese Tuipulotu, which led to a break by Malelili Satala. Patterson supported to score. Thompson converted.

Sustained pressure resulted in a third Edinburgh try, with Patterson assisting Ewan Ashman, who scored from close range. The conversion was missed.

Zebre reduced the deficit before half-time with a Montemauri penalty.

Zebre retook the lead early in the second half when Jacopo Trulla capitalised on a defensive gap to score. The conversion was successful.

Cammy Scott, on as a replacement, kicked two penalties to touch, leading to attacking lineouts. From one, Edinburgh scored through a rolling maul, with Ashman claiming his second try. The conversion was missed.

A Zebre penalty put the visitors back in front. A subsequent Zebre try, confirmed following a TMO review, extended the lead. Montemauri converted.

Edinburgh scored the final try of the match through Boan Venter following sustained phases. Scott converted.
