Players named ahead of first Scotland Women camp of 2026

15 Jan 2026

Scotland Women’s newly appointed Head Coach Sione Fukofuka has named 50 players who will convene at Oriam, Scotland’s Performance Sports Centre, from Monday 19 January for a week-long camp.

The cohort is comprised of players from the Celtic Challenge, PWR and French Elite leagues, of which 21 were involved in the Rugby World Cup 2025.

The following players will also return to Scotland for the week to continue rehabilitation work with the medical team: Sarah Bonar (back), Leia Brebner-Holden (shoulder), Francesca McGhie (shoulder) and Lisa Thomson (foot).

Fukofuka said: “I’m hugely excited to lead my first camp as Head Coach. It’s a fantastic opportunity for both myself and Ioan Cunningham, as new coaches, to build strong connections with the players and align around how we intend to accelerate this programme – especially with squad selection for the Guinness Women’s Six Nations approaching in the Spring.

“We’ve seen some outstanding performances across the PWR, Celtic Challenge and French leagues in recent months, and I’m really looking forward to seeing those players come together in our environment, competing hard and pushing each other to higher standards.

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the National Team staff, supported by the pathway performance coaches, as we align and strengthen the program heading into an exciting 2026.”
