Hometown Heroes

12 Apr 2024

The journey to representing Scotland is founded upon many important building blocks. Talent, hard work, desire and opportunity to name but a few. In our new series, Hometown Heroes, we look at some of the places of opportunities crucial to the development of our Scotland stars. From schools and clubs to individuals, these home towns made the players who they are today.

Episode 1: Rhona Lloyd

Scotland winger Rhona Lloyd’s first interaction with rugby was at Tynecastle High School, Edinburgh. From there, she grew through the club game – Murrayfield Wanderers – and university rugby – University of Edinburgh.

She is now a hugely experienced Scotland international, as well as representing Great Britain in Rugby Sevens.
