Scotland Women team to face Australia in final home fixture of Vodafone Scotland WXV Series confirmed

Hannah Ramsay, Sarah Bonar, Evie Wills and Rachel McLachlan come into the line-up, with the latter two involved for the first time in this campaign following spells with injury.

After appearances from the bench against Canada and New Zealand, Ramsay is set to make her second start for Scotland, coming in at full-back. Rhona Lloyd and Shona Campbell retain their places on the right and left wings, respectively.

Wills comes into the team at outside centre and will feature alongside the ever-present Meryl Smith on the inside of the midfield.

Having made her first start against the Black Ferns, youngster Ceitidh Ainsworth keeps her place at scrum-half to face the Wallaroos, partnering vice-captain Helen Nelson at stand-off.

The front row is unchanged from last weekend’s contest with New Zealand, as Anne Young starts at loosehead prop, with Lana Skeldon – who will become the second-most capped Scotland Women player this weekend when making her 90^th appearance – and Elliann Clarke starting at hooker and tighthead, respectively.

It is back-to-back starts for lock Holland Bogan who lines up in the second row at number four alongside Sarah Bonar, who makes consecutive appearances and her first in a Scotland starting XV since the 2025 Rugby World Cup quarter-final against England.

Making her first appearance of the competition, Rachel McLachlan comes into the line-up as the starting openside flanker, with captain Rachel Malcolm once again starting at blindside flanker. After scoring her two tries against New Zealand – taking her tally to three over the last two games, Evie Gallagher keeps her place at number eight.

The bench is made up of a five-three split of forwards and backs.

The back replacements include Katie Buchanan, Chloe Rollie and Leia Brebner-Holden, who is named in the matchday squad for the first time this campaign after overcoming injury.

Aicha Sutcliffe, Leah Bartlett, Molly Poolman, Hollie Cunningham and Eva Donaldson are the replacements available amongst the forwards.
