Bob McKillop has been appointed as Head Coach of Scotland XV and will be supported by Scott Wight, Andy Hill and Andy Henderson as Assistant Coaches.  

McKillop, who is Heriot’s Rugby head coach and Edinburgh District Head Coach, brings significant experience to the role, having been part of the original set-up in 2007.  

He will be supported by a highly skilled coaching group who remain committed to driving performance, player development, and elevating the club game in the country.  

Scott Wight is currently joint Head Coach of Melrose RFC and The South District Attack Coach, while Andy Hill coaches Hamilton Bulls and is the Glasgow & the West Head Coach. Andy Henderson completes the set-up as Strathallan School and Caledonia Reds Head Coach. 

Watsonians FC’s Jono Willis has been appointed as Team Manager and provides strong organisational leadership as the current Edinburgh District Team Manager. 

Speaking on his appointment, McKillop said: “It is an honour to lead a very strong coaching team for the reinstated Club XV fixture.  

“This is a great opportunity to showcase the quality of Scottish club rugby against a strong Irish side in Dublin, and for us as coaches to work together to create a special experience for everyone involved.  

“The reintroduction of the programme is an exciting prospect for our club players and reflects the commitment to elevating the club game in Scotland.” 

Scotland XV will look to secure the Dalriada Cup when they return to Donnybrook to take on Ireland XV on Friday, 13 February at Energia Park (kick-off 6pm).
