July: The Southern Hemisphere Series
In years past, Scotland would embark on a traditional Summer Tour. In 2026, those fixtures are transformed into the opening rounds of the Nations Championship. Scotland will head south to face some of the most physical teams in world rugby, with the Southern Hemisphere nations hosting the series.
Round 1: Argentina v Scotland – Saturday 4 July
Venue: Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes, Córdoba
After allowing Los Pumas to comeback from 21-point deficit during the 2025 Quilter Nations Series, Scotland will be looking to start the new Nations Championship with a strong rectification in Córdoba.
Round 2: South Africa v Scotland – Saturday 11 July
Venue: Loftus Versfeld, Pretoria
Facing the current world number one on the highveld is a significant test. Scotland have not bested the Springboks since its 21-17 victory at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in 2010.
Round 3: Fiji v Scotland – Saturday 18 July
Venue: Scottish Gas Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Although part of the away series, this match is a designated home game for Fiji played in Edinburgh. Scotland will be eager to settle the score after a tough loss to the Flying Fijians in Suva during the 2025 summer tour.

November: The Northern Hemisphere Series
The action returns to the capital for the second half of the tournament. While these games occupy the traditional Autumn Nations Series window, they now serve as the concluding rounds of the group stage, with points dictating the standings for the global Finals Weekend in London.
Round 4: Scotland vs. New Zealand – Saturday 7 November
Whilst Scotland have never defeated the All Blacks, the recent fixture saw this fact run close. Scotland went into half-time 17 points behind but continued fighting to tie things up with twenty minutes to play. Although New Zealand pulled away at the last, it was an encouraging performance from the team in navy blue.
Round 5: Scotland vs. Australia – Sunday 15 November
Scotland has held the upper hand in this rivalry recently, having prevailed in four of the last five encounters with the Wallabies.
Round 6: Scotland vs. Japan – Saturday 21 November
Matches against the Brave Blossoms are always high-tempo affairs. Scotland won the last encounter at Scottish Gas Murrayfield in 2021 and have historically won eight of the nine encounters.

Finals Weekend
All roads lead to London for the inaugural Nations Championship Finals Weekend (27–29 November). Over three days of high-stakes double-headers at Allianz Stadium, the six teams from the Northern Hemisphere will face their correspondingly ranked counterparts from the Southern Hemisphere.
Every point scored in July and November counts toward securing the best possible seed for this historic weekend.
