The Scotland Women’s team will compete in the Six Nations, with an Autumn international fixture as preparation.  Players in the Scotland Women’s squad will take part in regular fitness testing, skills clinics (including specialist coaching sessions) and squad weekends.  Players who are unsuccessful in trialling for the Scotland Women’s squad, will have the opportunity to take part in a Senior Regional Programme from January to March 2011. The programme will consist of three training days and two matches, where players are able to develop both individual and group skills in a competitive environment (trials will take place in January 2011). In addition to the senior performance programme, a Scotland Women under-20 squad will replace the SWR Academy. The Scotland Women’s under-20 squad will focus on preparing players to play competitive senior international rugby, and will develop core skills and fitness alongside the Scotland Women’s squad.
