Regional squads named for U16 FOSROC Festival at Oriam
9 Mar 2024The four regions will compete at U16 level at Oriam on Sunday, as Borders & East Lothian U16 face Caledonia U16 before Edinburgh U16 take on Glasgow & the West U16.
Borders & East Lothian U16 v Caledonia U16 gets the festival underway at 1pm, with Edinburgh U16 v Glasgow & the West U16 kicking off at 3pm.
After an internal hit out last weekend, this is the first round of festival action at U16 level. The academy fixtures will continue next weekend, taking place in Gala.
Players will then be selected for U16 inter-city derbies in April, taking place at Hive Stadium.
The U16 Regional Academies work on the Scottish Rugby blueprint for their age group, with key principles including creative attack, relentless contact and dictating defence.
