News : Coronavirus

Government and NHS advice is that the current Coronavirus outbreak may continue to affect organisations for some months. We would ask all clubs to respect the welfare of both their club members and the wider community.

Scottish Rugby has issued extensive guidance in relation to any Return to Play or Training. This can be found here.

If your club has approval for an Outgoing Tour (and hence will be playing out of Scotland) you should refer to the UK Government’s travel advice and to continue to monitor the appropriateness of the trip in the light of the conditions at home, at the Tour location and at any intermediate points (such as transit airports).

Please also keep in touch with the latest medical information by monitoring NHS Inform .

Injury Management

Rugby is a physical contact sport. Injuries can and do occur as a result of playing rugby, either through the effects of an isolated incident or through the cumulative effects of playing of the game over time. Participants should always consider their own fitness before training and before taking part in any game. Participants should also take their own medical advice before playing and especially following an injury. Following Concussion the return to play protocols are mandatory.

Medical Welfare Regulations

Scottish Rugby operates a series of medical welfare Policies and Regulations. For more on this please click on the box below:
