RWC 2015 Trophy Tour in Scotland – Day three
The Rugby World Cup trophy tour has packed in the roads and the miles as it headed north on its third day in Scotland today. The day started in Cupar where the trophy was hosted at Howe of Fife RFC and was greeted by a host of enthusiastic supporters including the 40-times capped former Scotland prop. Dave Rollo and SRU President Ian Rankin.Next stop was Aberdeen Airport where youngsters from Aberdeen Wanderers, Banff, Deeside, Huntly and Mackie Academy FP, marvelled at the silverware. A flight delay then put the pressure on but undaunted the good people of Orkney RFC decanted in their 100s to Kirkwall Airport to ensure a typically appreciative Orkney welcome Tomorrow, the Cup will be at Highland RFC’s Canal Park in Inverness at a major youth rugby gathering.
