Scotland 7s will compete in the Bowl competition on day two of the Emirates Airline Dubai 7s. They play Australia in the quarter-final at 10.06am (local time).? ?The Scots suffered three defeats at the hands of Kenya (5-12), Fiji (14-22) and Spain (7-12) today, despite sustaining long periods of possession and territory in all three matches. ? ?Head coach, Phil Greening, said: “It’s frustrating to have lost all our games today. We played well at times and against Kenya and Spain we were ahead for long periods.? ?”However, at the end of the day we made decisions that resulted in us making mistakes and it cost us.? ?”We must now regroup and take tomorrow as a new challenge. Australia are a good side, but if we can get our basics right and if each individual executes their roles well the scoreboard will look after itself.”? ?On the scoreboard today was Michael Fedo who scored the only points against Kenya, James Johnstone who touched down against Fiji and Darren Gillespie and Alex Glashan who both scored their first Scotland 7s tries. Captain Colin Gregor added three conversions in the latter two matches. ?Dubai is four hours ahead of the United Kingdom.? ?Dubai 7s day one?
