Scotland A captain Gordon Ross has presented Scotland sportswear to charity group AquAid Lifeline for youngsters in Malawi ahead of the game against Italy A at McDiarmid Park, Perth, on Friday 23 February (kick-off 7.30pm). Members of the charity group are travelling to the African country to work in an orphan village, helping with sports and education. John Searle started the charity to follow in the footsteps of his father, a retired Baptist minister, who visited Malawi on missionary work. On his return to Britain, Searle proposed that AquAid UK should form their own charity dispensing with any administrative costs and raise money through the sale of the water to fund an orphan village. Gordon said: Groups such as AquAid deserve all the support possible and we are pleased to play our part in helping them.Scottish Rugby Union Regional Development Manager for Tayside and Fife, Neil Carrie, received the sportswear donation from Gordon. Neil said: Thanks to Scottish Rugby and the Scotland A team for this generous donation. And thanks also to the players and volunteers involved in Angus rugby, who have worked so hard to help bring this charitable presentation to fruition.
