Scotland Call-Up Boosts Wanderers Winning Streak
Murrayfield Wanderers continued their winning run at the weekend, retaining their place at the top of the table with an eight try victory over Watsonians. The Wanderers went into the game on a high following the recent national call up of 20 of their players to the Scottish Women’s Squad and the Scotland Women Under 20s. They started strongly and were ahead after a few minutes with their forwards retaining the ball through some tight phases. The game ended with further phase play and movement of the ball, which soon found it’s way out to the wing and finding the outstretched hands of new winger Lauren Ing who grabbed her first ever Wandies try to end the game and notch up a well deserved 77-12 win.
