Despite going 5-0 down in the early stages the development squad answered with a brace from right wing, Katy Green, and tries from, Alex Pratt, Lynsey Harley and Hayley Legg to beat the experienced British Police squad. Scotland women developement head coach, Jules Murciano, said: We were rewarded with a try through some close in phase play then some slick handling through the back line. We competed aggressively in the breakdowns turning over ball. A united team effort resulted in a solid defence and some exciting attacking play. Jo Hull, SWRU Performance Development Manager, added: Today was an excellent display of the strength in depth we are creating for Scotland Women in years to come. The U18s have shown significant improvements throughout this year, both individually and as a team. I am extremely confident that we will see many of these girls in future World Cup squads representing Scotland.
