Scottish Rugby build partnership with Purplebricks

1 Feb 2019

On the eve of the Guinness Six Nations, Scottish Rugby has announced the UK’s leading estate agency, Purplebricks, as the new back-of-shirt sponsors of the Scotland national team throughout the Six Nations.

Purplebricks have extended their support for Scottish Rugby following their successful partnership during the 2018 Autumn Tests. The hybrid estate agent, which now sells more homes than any other agent nationally, is also the leading agent in Scotland.

The new sponsorship announcement was made on Friday at the iconic home of Scottish Rugby BT Murrayfield as players arrived for their final training session, getting a first glimpse of the new kit ahead of their opening Guinness Six Nations game against Italy.

The sponsorship deal is a further boost to Scottish Rugby which is enjoying recent success at both international level, and at club level with Edinburgh Rugby and Glasgow Warriors’ both through to the Heineken Champions Cup quarter-finals for the first time together.

Michael Bruce, founder and global CEO of Purplebricks, said: “We’ve been a big admirer of the exciting ambition embodied by the Scotland rugby team. We share the ambition to continually improve in every area and to ignore conventional wisdom to achieve a better outcome. The attention to detail and professionalism from Head Coach Gregor Townsend and his team is clear for all to see and we’re very proud to be a part of that journey.”

Toni Blackhurst, Head of Marketing and Sponsorship at Scottish Rugby added: “We are excited by this new partnership with Purplebricks as we embark on our Guinness Six Nations campaign and a huge year ahead for rugby.

“Purplebricks have proven themselves as an organisation not afraid to look at things differently in how to tackle a challenge. Like Scottish Rugby, they are an innovative business which has a willingness to try new things and stretch the boundaries and we look forward to working together over the coming months.”
