Scottish Rugby Disciplinary Hearing
Melrose head coach Craig Chalmers and centre Jamie Murray have been asked to attend an independent disciplinary hearing on Wednesday 21 April at Murrayfield Stadium. Following a complaint of misconduct after the club’s annual sevens tournament on Saturday 10 April, it is alleged that both individuals acted in a manner towards a match official that contravened Rules 13.3.2 and 13.3.8 of the Scottish Rugby Disciplinary Procedures 2009/10. For guidance, the above incident is not related to the arrest of Craig Chalmers reported earlier this week. Rule 13.3.2 – Acting in an abusive, insulting, intimidating or offensive manner towards any person, referees, assistant referees or other officials or any other person otherwise in attendance at the match as spectators or in any other capacity.
