Scottish Rugby’S Oldest Lend A Hand To Scottish Rugby’s Newest
One of Scotland’s oldest rugby clubs have made a generous donation to a school team who will play their first ever game of rugby on Wednesday (7 November). St Andrews University first XV have donated a set of 15 playing shirts to Lochgelly High School senior team, who will play their first ever-competitive match against Waid Academy tomorrow. David Ross, from St Andrews University, said: “We don’t have a youth section in our club, so we saw this as a tangible chance to help grow the game of rugby in Fife.”We’re looking for more opportunities to get involved at grassroots and recently we have been coaching Madras Blues.”It’s just a really nice touch, one of Scottish rugby’s oldest clubs helping a brand new team. We wish them all the best in their match tomorrow.”
