Scotland full-back Hugo Southwell will miss the final game of the RBS 6 Nations Championship against France in Paris on Saturday. Southwell suffered an injury to his left shoulder during the first-half of yesterday’s 18-19 loss to Ireland and will now be out of action for up to three months. Scotland team doctor James Robson explained: Hugo suffered a similar injury to that of Chris Cusiter during the autumn in that the shoulder joint was forced out then popped back in again. He was operated on by orthopaedic surgeon Gordon McKay in Glasgow today and will now return to the care of the medical and rehab team at Edinburgh Rugby. Scotland centre Marcus Di Rollo had a hand injury X-rayed last night and, happily, has no fracture though there is severe bruising.
