Lucy was young to rugby, first picking up a ball when she was five-years-old at Helensburgh RFC.
The centre moved on to join Hillhead Jordanhill for two years and then joined Stirling County where she remained until 2023, joining the University of Edinburgh.
In 2022 and 2023, Lucy featured for Stirling County in their U18 National Youth Cup wins at Murrayfield and picked up Player of the Match in Stirling County’s Premiership Final against Corstorphine Cougars.
During the same time, Lucy was selected for Scotland U18 and played in the Six Nations festival and European Sevens tournament.
In 2023, Lucy was selected for the Thistles in the inaugural Celtic Challenge and the Scotland Futures programme, playing in the Tri-Nations competition in Italy.
In the 2023/24 season, Lucy was selected for Glasgow Warriors Celtic Challenge team, and featured seven times. She is currently supported by Scottish Rugby at the East Regional Training Centre.
Away from rugby, Lucy played hockey competitively, and was signed to the Scottish Brave Academy between the ages of 15 and 17.
