Quilter Nations Series ends with a 56-0 win over Tonga

Scotland wrapped up the Quilter Nations Series against Tonga. Over 60,000 fans packed into the stadium for the occasion, with gates having opened three hours before kick-off.

Scotland ended the Quilter Nations Series with a dominant 56–0 win over Tonga at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, scoring eight tries and capitalising on Tonga’s severe discipline issues.

Tonga’s Semisi Paea was first yellow-carded for a dangerous croc roll, later upgraded to a 20-minute red. Their indiscipline continued throughout, with four more yellow cards—three for deliberate knock-ons.

Scotland took control early. Jamie Ritchie opened the scoring before George Turner and Max Williamson added tries, giving Scotland a 21–0 halftime lead. Though Tonga had brief territory, they never threatened the scoreboard.

In the second half, Scotland pulled away as Duhan van der Merwe, Ewan Ashman (twice), George Horne (twice), and others finished off a tiring and frequently undermanned Tonga side. Scotland maintained a perfect conversion record.

A record crowd for this fixture—60,374—watched Scotland finish their year in style, with Magnus Bradbury named Player of the Match.

Final Score: Scotland 56–0 Tonga
