U18 men round off Newcastle camp with win over Falcons
A weekend training camp in Newcastle for Scotland U18 men concluded with a 40-28 win over Newcastle Falcons U18 on Sunday.
Tries from Mason Brown, Harrison Wood, Harry Blackie, Jamie McAughtrie, Logan Williams and Finn Ronnie secured the win in Newcastle after training days on Friday and Saturday.
Six Nations festival preparation continues this weekend with an Edinburgh-based training camp.
Head Coach Ross Miller said: “The camp in Newcastle gave us more valuable time together in preparation for the Six Nations. We’re really happy with how they handled having back-to-back weekend camps and the travelling.
“The game against Newcastle Falcons was an important hit out for us, and we took a lot of learnings from seeing the players in a game environment again.
“We continue with a camp in Edinburgh this weekend, our third weekend camp in a row, and we will look for the players to continue to manage that well and get better as a group as we prepare to head to Italy for the Six Nations.”
