U18 Men team named for Six Nations Festival opener
Head Coach Ross Miller has selected his team for the opening 2025 U18 Men Six Nations Festival against England U18 at Le Stade Darragon tomorrow (kick off 12.15pm BST) - live on the Scottish Rugby website.
Christian Lindsay, who played Scotland U20’s opening two U20 Six Nations games at the start of 2025, will captain the side.
Logan Hendrie starts at loosehead prop, Jack Utterson is at hooker and Jackson Rennie completes the front row at tighthead prop.
Lindsay is paired with Dan Shellard in the second row, and the forwards are completed by Harry Jackaman at blindside flanker, Harvey Preston at openside and Lloyd Moncreiff at number eight.
The half-back pairing is made of Gregor Johnston at scrum-half, and Henry Widdowson starting at stand-off.
In the centres, Joe Taylor begins on the inside and is joined by Will Corbett on the outside.
Glen Gammell is selected at left wing, with Luca Mathieson on the right. Full-back Rory McHaffie completes the starting team.
Miller said: “We had out travel day Monda,y trained yesterday and completed a team run this morning. The players are settling into life in Vichy and very much looking forward to the first game tomorrow
These games will challenge and stretch the players. This is a fantastic opportunity for them to test their abilities at this level, playing a strong England side provides a great opportunity for the players to experience this.”
