From the onset, Canada kicked cleanly, particularly from hand and were exceptional at the breakdown, frequently stealing ball at scrums and line-outs. Scotland on the other hand, despite good defensive organisation and stand out individual performances from Lisa Martin, could not make an impact on the well drilled Canucks. Head coach, Kenny Christie, said: Although the score line is not good, I am really pleased that we played this fixture as it gave us our first chance to benchmark ourselves against a genuine international side and a very strong one at that. There have been huge improvements in the squad since their debut game against British Colleges in the snow in February. The next fixture: Scottish Women U18 vs. North East Region U18s 11am on 5 April at Meggetland Final Score – 0-51 Head Coach: Kenny Christie Assistant Coach: Claire Cruikshank Captain: Kelly Mitchell (Melrose)
