The Autumn Nations Series game against New Zealand has sold out, becoming Scotland’s fastest-selling autumn game ever.

The game had already created unprecedented demand for tickets, with rugby clubs buying the highest ever number of tickets for an autumn international, and more multi-match packages bought than at the same stage for last year’s series. Match tickets went on sale at 10am this morning and have now all been snapped up by fans.

“On behalf of the Scotland team I’d like to thank all those fans who have again shown their commitment to supporting the team and contributing to this match being the most popular ever Autumn game,” said Olaf Gueldner, Scottish Rugby’s Chief Customer Officer. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Scottish Gas Murrayfield”.

Match tickets are still available for the other three games – against Argentina, Tonga and USA – for as little as £26.50 (adults) and £13.13 (U18s) with U12s FREE (with a paying adult) for the USA and Tonga game.

Scotland stand-off Duncan Weir scores against USA at the 2015 Rugby World Cup in Leeds

Scotland v USA

Saturday 1 November, kick-off 5.40pm
Scottish Gas Murrayfield

This is the USA Eagles’ first visit to Scottish Gas Murrayfield since the two teams first played each other 25 years ago. Current Scotland head coach Gregor Townsend played stand-off that day in November 2000 and scored 33 points – including two tries – in the 53-6 win. In the intervening years the teams have met twice in Rugby World Cup tournaments (in 2003 and 2015) and on three summer tours (2002, 2014 and 2018) with the last match, in Houston, won by the hosts 30-29. USA Rugby celebrates its 50th anniversary this year and is hosting the Men’s Rugby World Cup in 2031 and the Women’s Rugby World Cup in 2033. A great way to kick off the Autumn Nations Series!

(SOLD OUT)

Rugby World Cup 2023 runners-up (they lost by a single point to South Africa in the final) New Zealand are heading to Scottish Gas Murrayfield for the first time since 2022. Scotland were ahead 23-14 going into the last quarter, then only a point behind in the last few minutes until Mark Telea’s converted try took the visitors to 31-23 win. Scotland were even closer to winning in 2017 when Beauden Barrett’s try-saving tackle right at the end denied the Scots a famous first-ever win against the All Blacks. What a game in store – definitely not one to be missed!

Scotland v Argentina

Argentina reached the semi-finals of the 2023 Rugby World Cup and then, after appointing former stand-off/centre Felipe Contepomi as head coach, climbed up to 5th in the world rankings after a run of eye-catching wins against New Zealand, Australia and South Africa in last year’s Rugby Championship. It’s three years since Los Pumas were last at Scottish Gas Murrayfield, when the crowd enjoyed a 12-try thriller, eight of them coming from Scotland – including a hat-trick from Darcy Graham – for a 52-29 win.

Scotland v Tonga

Sunday 23 November, kick-off 1.40pm

The series ends with a game against the entertaining and flamboyant South Sea Islanders. Scotland last faced Tonga at the 2023 Rugby World Cup in France, winning 45-17 in Nice, and Tonga’s last visit to Scottish Gas Murrayfield was in 2021. That year’s game was the first at the Home of Scottish Rugby for twenty years – although the teams had played in Aberdeen (2012) and Kilmarnock (2014) – and the crowd was treated to winger Kyle Steyn scoring four of Scotland’s ten tries.
