The competition, previously known as the World Rugby U20 Championship, will take place in Georgia from 27 June to 18 July, with five rounds of action across Tbilisi and Kutaisi.
The tournament will feature 16 teams this year, up from 12 for the first time since 2009.
Scotland finished 10th in last year’s tournament, picking up a win in the 9th-12th semi final against Ireland with a last-play try.
The pool stage action starts for Scotland on Saturday 27 June against Italy (kick off 9am BST/1pm local). Round two comes on Thursday 2 July, with Scotland taking on New Zealand (kick off 2pm BST/6pm local) before the pool stages conclude on Tuesday 7 July with Scotland playing Japan (kick off 11.30am BST/3.30pm local). All three of Scotland’s pool stage matches take place at AIA Arena in Kutaisi.
Scotland will then play in a ranking semi final and final to determine the final placings, which take place either at AIA Arena or at Avchala Stadium or Mikheil Meskhi Stadium, both of which are in Tblisi, depending on final placings in the pools.
