BBC ALBA announced as lead broadcaster for second half of FOSROC Super Series Championship

Scottish Rugby have today confirmed the broadcast details for the second half of the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Championship including details of the Championship Final in November.

The remaining eight Friday night fixtures and the Final will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA, starting with the clash between Watsonians and Ayrshire Bulls at Myreside next Friday (22 September, kick-off 7.35pm).

It was previously announced that a total of seven Saturday fixtures will be shown live on the Scottish Rugby website, BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer during the FOSROC Super Series Championship. The first Saturday fixture to be broadcast following the stand-by week will be on the first weekend action resumes when Southern Knights welcome the FOSROC Future XV back to the Greenyards (kick-off 5pm).

Both the Friday night (7.35pm) and the Saturday evening (5pm) matches will be available live to those living outside of the UK on the Scottish Rugby website.

A highlights package featuring all matches from across the weekend, including those not being broadcast live, will continue to be available every Monday evening on the Scottish Rugby website following each round of games.

As the Championship comes to its penultimate weekend in November both semi-final fixtures will be broadcast live. On Friday 10 November the team who finishes in first position at the end of the 14 regular rounds of competition will host those who finished fourth (kick-off 7.35pm) and this match will be available to watch live on BBC ALBA.

The second semi-final fixture will take place on Saturday 11 November as second place host third place and this game will be shown live on the Scottish Rugby website, BBC Sport website and BBC iPlayer (kick-off 5pm).

The FOSROC Super Series trophy will be contested by the two teams who win their respective semi-finals the following week at the Championship Final.

Scottish Rugby can confirm the 2023 FOSROC Super Series Championship Final will once again take place at the home to Edinburgh Rugby, Hive Stadium on Saturday 18 November, kick-off 4.10pm. The Final will be broadcast live on BBC ALBA with the match available to those outside the UK on the Scottish Rugby Website.

“It’s great news that we once again will be hosting the FOSROC Super Series Championship Final at the home of Edinburgh Rugby. The professional facilities that Hive Stadium boasts provides a great location for the climax of the Championship and as a destination final the teams can strive to.”
